Seek Him at Christmas

December 25, 2006

Little Girl Praying

(1 Chro 16) Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

Seek wisdom, knowledge and understanding

Find out what God is doing and get on board

Hunger for His presence: don’t settle for the porch, the outer court, or the inner court, but seek the Holy of Holies

Seek to feel His breath upon your neck and to lay upon His shoulder

Seek to become more intimate and loving with the person of Jesus Christ

Seek your personal destiny for yourself & your family

Find out what your gifts and talents are and how you fit in with this ministry

Find out God’s calling on your life…get busy for the Master

Seek His face in the morning, in the noon day & at night

Seek Him while He may be found…

Humble Yourself and Pray

December 25, 2006

“If My people, who are called by My name would humble themselves…”

Cast aside pride, ego, and arrogance

Submit to them that rule over you

Destroy your own agenda and follow God’s agenda

Totally fall in love with the only living God

Relinquish (let go of) your will for the will of the Father

Bow down before the God of the universe and began to Pray

Pray in the Spirit and with out ceasing

Lifting up holy hands and praying

In your closet praying

At your job praying

In you’re home praying

You and your spouse praying

You and your children praying

You and your prayer partner praying

In your neighborhood praying

At the super market praying

In the school praying

Praying for your pastor and leadership team

Praying for laborers for the harvest

Praying for those in city, state, and national government

Praying for the new ministries

Praying for your community

Praying for the finances of the ministry

Praying for all the saints

Praying for all the existing ministries and those to be birth

Praying before, during & after the pastor is preaching

Are you Humble? Are you Praying?

Expect !

December 22, 2006

Nativity

Christmas is a time of anticipation, expectancy, and celebration. We eagerly await the “coming of Jesus” in a manger. We expect all of our hopes and dreams to be fulfilled. And we sacredly celebrate the birthday party of our Lord and Saviour.

Take time this Christmas season to:

  • Spend time in prayer and fasting
  • Spend time with your loved ones and friends
  • Spend time re-reading”The Story”
  • Spend your money wisely
  • Spend some time reflecting on 2006
  • Spend time contemplating 2007

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Prayer Focus

December 7, 2006

Lord, I lift up the prayer focus in my church. Make us into a house of prayer. We desire to be clear-minded and self-controlled so that we can pray first, always, continually and thankfully. May everyone recognize that this is Your desire for all and not just a few. Use us to stand in the gap for others. Let there be prayer ministry among us that is powerful and effective. (Mk. 11:17; 1 Pet. 4:7; 1 Tim. 2:1; Eph. 6:18; 1 Thes. 5:17; Phil. 4:6; Ps. 32:6; Ezk. 22:30; Jas. 5:16)

I’m Still Looking…

December 1, 2006

beacon_of_hope.jpg

Ezekiel 22:30 (KJV) And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Even in the midst of all the violence, sickness, perversion, immorality, rebellion, witchcraft, racism, idol worship, greed, and carnality…God is still looking.

In the midst of Pastoral scandals, Bishops affirming homosexual lifestyles, Priests not sure if Jesus is the only way, People doing what is right in their own eyes, secular humanism, and greed…God is still looking.

God is looking for a man, woman, boy, or girl who will stand in the gap, build up the walls, repair the breach, lift up a standard, and set a hedge around the city, state, and nation.

Someone willing to sacrifice, submit, and suffer for the cause of Christ.
Someone who will stand for holiness and righteousness
Someone who will stand for Truth and live morally pure
Someone who will speak “thus sayeth the Lord”

Is that someone you?
